Viewing & Testing Student Projects
You can view and test these undergraduate student design & prototyping projects in any of
several ways. If you are a Firefox user and have installed the Web Developers Toolbar,
then you can use the CSS menu like this to emulate a handheld device:
or if you have Opera installed you can use the View menu to set it to small-screen rendering like this:
and there are also two emulators online you can try pages out in. The [Z] dotMobi emulator page is a simple Java applet able to emulate either of two phones.
You simply type copy the student site URI and paste it into the emulator text field (remember to remove the leading
"http://") to see a reasonable facsimile of what it will look like. There is a second and smaller
version of the same applet embedded in the results page you get by entering the student project URI into
the text field at the [Y] MobiReady
Report page.
